Learning from Someone Who's Made the Mistakes
I spent twelve years running a manufacturing business in Brisbane before pivoting to finance consulting. And honestly? I wish someone had taught me this stuff back in 2009 when I was winging it with Excel and prayer.
The program grew out of conversations with other business owners who were struggling with the same things I did. Cash flow surprises. Not understanding margins properly. Making decisions based on incomplete information.
"What surprised me most was how quickly participants start connecting the dots. By week six, they're spotting patterns in their own businesses they'd never noticed before. That's when it clicks."
I don't promise miracles. What I can tell you is that after six months, you'll look at your business differently. You'll ask better questions. You'll spot problems earlier. And yeah, you'll probably sleep better knowing you actually understand what's happening with your money.
We run small cohorts—usually eight to twelve participants. That's deliberate. Everyone gets attention, everyone gets challenged, and everyone learns from each other's situations. Some of the best insights come from peer discussions, not from me lecturing.
